Cheryl Casey Scyrkels, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born February 14, 1947 in Cecil, Arkansas to Walter C. Casey and Frances G. (Cotton) Casey. She was 66 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Casey; one brother, Ronald Casey; her grandparents, Robert and Julianne Casey and Robert and Ethel Cotton.

Cheryl was a truck dispatcher for O.K. Industries. She was a graduate of County Line High School near Ratcliff and Westark Community College in Fort Smith. She was a Christian and was a member of River Valley Community Church in Fort Smith. She was also a cowgirl and loved barrel racing and especially loved her horse, Redman.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29th, at River Valley Community Church in Fort Smith, with the Rev. Phillip McClure officiating. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Halfmann and husband Bill of Pocola, Oklahoma; her son, Wesley Robert Talkington of Cecil; her mother, Frances Casey of Cecil; one brother, Michael Casey and wife Glenda of Springfield, Missouri; and one granddaughter, Piper Talkington.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
