Daniel L. Moll, age 67, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 3:05pm at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dan was born on March 16, 1950 in Tiffin, Ohio, to George and Phyllis (Snavely) Moll, both of whom are deceased. He was first married to Rosemarie Weisenauer, and then married JoAnn Adams, who survives in Upper Sandusky.

He is survived by 2 sons: Jason Moll of Upper Sandusky, and James "Jamie" (Kelly) Moll of Kirby, 3 grandchildren, Jason Layne, and Delilah and Thomas Moll, along with 2 step children: Matthew (Katherine) Adams of Round Rock, Texas, and Amy Adams of New York, New York, and a brother, Jim Moll of Upper Sandusky.

Dan retired after 30 years with the Norfolk - Southern Railroad, having worked previously for the Erie – Lackawanna, and Conrail.

He was a 1968 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, and then went on to serve his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and Desert Storm. After being discharged from the Air Force, Dan on the same day, enlisted with the National Guard and served for 25 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He continued to serve others in the service by participating with Upper Sandusky Color Guard for many years.

Dan was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky, and a life member of various organizations: VFW Post 2842, American Legion Post 225, Amvets #777, where he served as adjacent for many years, Moose Lodge 1093, Eagles #2183 and BPOE #83, all of Upper Sandusky.

He enjoyed traveling, finding new places to eat, meeting with friends at McDonald's, going for train rides, and making new friends throughout his various travels. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Austin and Abby.

A Memorial Mass for Daniel L. Moll will be held at 11:00am Friday, November 17, 2017 at Transfiguration of the Lord Church with Father Antony Varghese Vattaparambil, OFM, Conv officiating. Military rites will be conducted after the mass by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard.

There will be a gathering after the mass at the St. Peter's School on Friday for family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Sandusky Color Guard and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
