Moses was the son of Price Ballew and his 2nd wife, Aline Davis Ballew. Some of his siblings were Maxine, Arlene, Emmarie, Geneva, Naomi, Wallace, Jeanette, Linda Ruth, Sandra Kay, Ann and Stinnett.

Moses enjoyed singing with a group called, "The Roaring Fifties" and they entertained all around the area, especially in nursing homes, which was always enjoyed by the residents.

He had been a member of Samples Baptist Church for 56 years and a deacon for the last 50 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War and was a retiree of Whirlpool having over 30 years of service.

He was devoted to his family and a proud pawpaw of his 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his fist wife of 37 years, Mae Birchfield, parents Aliene Davis, Price Ballew, daughters Pam Ballew, Shirley Sampson, sisters, Maxine Humberd, Arlene Barnes, Linda Ballew and Sandra Yarbrough.

He is survived by his 2nd wife of 24 years, Edna Wilena Campbell Ballew, his children Tammy Ballew Lawson, Jacqueline "Penny" Cimino, Pamela Campbell, Darlena Rogers, Donna Wilson, son in laws, Vince Cimino, Terry Rogers, Joe Wilson.

His surviving sisters are Emma McFarland, Naomi Patterson, Jeanette Castell, Ann Smith, brothers Stinnett Ballew Wallace Ballew.
