Lou Ella Burkhart, 77, of Prattsville, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at her sister’s residence in Royal. Mrs. Burkhart was a native of Ashley County and a resident of Prattsville since 2002. She graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1957, was a Customer Service Representative for Siemens Industry for 37 years and a member of the North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan. She was a member of the Woodman of the World and enjoyed being a cook and the fellowship at the Woodman of the World Summer Camp in Clinton.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Paul Berryman and Lawrence Dimas and her parents, G.R. “Gussie” and Colie Will Starling Berryman.

She is survived by a daughter, Kay Reppond and husband, Richard, of Zion; a daughter-in-law, Laura Berryman of Fountain Hill; a sister, Linda Chadick and husband, Tommy, of Royal; two brothers, LaRon Berryman and wife, Carolyn, of Fountain Hill and Charles Berryman and wife, Bettye, of Hamburg; four grandchildren, John Allen Dimas, Dorothy Berryman, Susan Carter and Colton Dimas; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Willie Thornhill officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Colton Dimas, John Dimas, Jason Berryman, Jay Thomas, Ronnie Berryman and Josh Carter. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202-3591.
