Mr. Paul Berryman, 49, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. Mr. Berryman was a native of Crossett; a life long resident of Hamburg and he graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1978. He was a former employee of Jefferson-Smurfit for 23 years having retired in 2002. He was a retired fireman for the Hamburg Fire Department; a member of the Hamburg Rescue Unit and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gussie Berryman in 1976.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Laura Wells Berryman; two daughters, Dorthy (Dottie) Berryman and Susan Berryman Carver and husband, Josh; his mother, Colie Will Starling Berryman all of Hamburg; two brothers, Laron Berryman of Fountain Hill and Charles Berryman of Hamburg; two sisters, Lou Ella Burkhart of Prattsville and Linda Chadick of Hot Springs; two grandsons, Jordan & Gregory Berryman; a uncle, two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are 3 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. David Williams and Rev. Edward Gulledge officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Berryman, John Gilbreth, Dennis Holland, Jr., B.J. Pippen, Jay Thomas and Nathan Wooten. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Hamburg Fire Department and the Hamburg Rescue Unit.
