MINERAL WELLS -- Lavon Anastas, 87, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, in Weatherford.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, Calvary Baptist Church. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner.

Memorials: Alzheimer's treatment and research.

Mr. Anastas was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Tomball.

Survivors: Wife, Audrey Anastas; son, Kenneth Anastas; daughters, Gwen VanNatta and Claudie Blair; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives.
