On May 1, 1948 she was united in marriage to Norbert E. Dietrich at St. Boniface Church, Manitowoc. Beatie and Norb shared nearly 40 years together before he preceded her in death on September 20, 1987. She was later married to Clarence Pritzl on December 28, 1996 and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2017.
Beattie worked for Manitowoc County and later the City of Kiel as the Meal Site Coordinator for Kiel. Her duties went above and beyond just meal site planning and Meals on Wheels. She was active with the Kiel Senior Citizens, serving as activity coordinator, transportation coordinator, and overall supervisor of the Kiel Community Center. She held that position for 35 years until her retirement
Survivors include her children; Dan Dietrich (Diana McGrath), Dean (Kaye) Dietrich both of Kiel, son-in-law; John Schmitt, grandchildren; Ashley (Joe) Lamb, Dean Wilcox, Maria Dietrich (Nathan Brunette), Dustin (Katelyn) Dietrich, Sarah Dietrich, Parker Dietrich, Kipp Dietrich, Caleb Schmitt (Fiance Nicole Matthies) Joshua Schmitt & Matthew Schmitt, step-children; Mike (Kathy) Pritzl, Elkhart Lake, Mary Van Asten, Dallas, TX, Jean (Marty) McDole, Fort Myers, FL, Terri Brocker, Fort Myers, FL, Cathy (Larry) Fliss, Plymouth, Ann (Mike) Frintner, Fond du Lac, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Beatie is further survived by her sister; Imogene (Donald) Fictum sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Betty Kretsch, Etta Sacharski, Hal (Mary) Dietrich, Geri Bellamy, Gordie (Alice) Pritzl, Frank (Jean) Pritzl, Roger Janssen other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert Dietrich, second husband Clarence Pritzl, beloved and forever missed daughter; Melody Schmitt, brother; Edward Kretsch, nephew; Larry Kretsch, and niece; Linda Fictum along with numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in the Dietrich and Pritzl families.
Beaties family would like to thank the Elkhart Lake First Responders and the Sheboygan County Sheriffs office for the support and comfort given to Beatie and her family.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in her name.
