Rev. Alpha Wright was the son of Erastus and Lydia (Wheeler) Wright. He was the husband of Arabella Juliette (Langley) Wright. They were married September 1835. Arabella died in 1897. Rev. Wright was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1836 F 1838 East Genesee Conference by transfer 1848. He served Angelica Circuit 1836 - Lodi (near Gowanda) 1839 - Attica Station 1840 - Port Gibson, NY 1845 - Buffalo NY: Swan Street 1846-1847 - Penn Yan, Yates Co., NY 1848-1849 - was an agent Genesee College, Lima, NY 1850-1851 - Rochester: North Street, Monroe Co., NY 1852-1853 - Rochester: Alexander Street, Monroe Co., NY - Corning, NY 1855 - Located 1856. Rev. Wright served during the Civil War. He moved to Plattsmouth in 1866 and later united with the Presbyterian Church.
