Merlyn C. Irwin 87, passed away Thursday, Mar. 22, 2007 at Stewart Memorial Hospital, Lake City. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Rockwell City, with Rev. Marcia Sangel officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Sac City. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City, with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
Merlyn is survived by his wife Florine; daughter Marcia Florke and her husband Don of Cherokee; sons, Edward Irwin of Rockwell City, Larry Irwin of Lake City, Rod Irwin and his wife Sue of Ft. Dodge, and Mark Irwin and his wife Shelia of Lohrville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Maxine Healy of Washington, and Flores Miller of Sac City.
