Catherine was born in Strasburg, [now Shrewsbury Twp.]York Co., Pa. to Johannes Seitz and Anna Catharina Ripp/Rueb,Reub,Rub [or various spellings]. She was born just 77 days after her family arrived from Europe to the Americans.

Catherine was married on April 6, 1784 at the First Reformed and Trinity Reformed Church in York, Pa. to Henry Keller. Neither Henry or Catherine were members of this church however this is where the record was posted. Henry was a Mennonite. Catherine spoke German nearly all her life and could scarcely speak English. In 1808 they with their children and other relatives left Pa. for Fairfield Co., Ohio. At this time two of Catherine's sisters and one brother were already in Fairfield Co., Ohio.

Born to Henry & Catherine are the following children:

John 1785-1859, Jacob 1787-1870, Benjamin 1789-1870, Elizabeth 1791-1857 [Peter Sever], Henry Jr. 1793-1870, Joseph 1795-1855, Daniel 1797-1887, Catherine 1800-1825 [George Groves], Magdalena 1801-1883 [Isaac Monteith],and Mary 1802-1895 [Jacob Miller].

"From transcriptions of this cemetery, it appears that the stone for Catherine has been broken and only the bottom portion remains. This was in 1963 and at that time only the dates were visible on the stone." There is a replacement stone for Henry and Catherine and I have no idea who furnished this stone or when.
