Mrs. Arno Schmidt, 59, of Appleton, a native of New Holstein, died late Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth hospital, Appleton, after being stricken with a heart attack Friday.
Nee Verna Hansen, she was born Feb. 23, 1895 in New Holstein a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Hansen.
She is survived by three daughters, two grandchildren, and a brother, Harvey C. Hansen, New Holstein. Her husband preceded her in death in 1949.
Funeral services were held at the Brett-Schneider Funeral home, Appleton and burial was in an Appleton cemetery.
