The funeral for Hazel Bonnie Pullen (Nanny), 78, will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Brothers Jackie Williams, Jackie Hill, and Chad Kitchens officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Mrs. Pullen, who died, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at her residence was born Jan. 5, 1939, to the late Johnny and Rosie Burden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Buddy and James Burden; and sisters, Nell Burden and Joyce Bennett.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William C. Pullen Sr., of Hillsboro; three children, Clifton Pullen (Anita), of Decatur, Hugh Pullen (Roberta), of Hillsboro, and Beth Cottingham (Roger), of Hillsboro; a very special niece thought of as a daughter, Nina Bennett; sisters, Bertha Lee Fagan, Betty Legg, Linda Merriman, Christine Montgomery, Clista Burden, and Diane Vinson; five grandchildren, Beau Rogers, Leah Brown, Matthew Romero, Jessica Graham, and Abbie Cottingham; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family.
