BOONEVILLE - Nita Jo Tays, 59, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born June 26, 1947, in Anniston, Ala., to Bernal Sharp and Betty Jo Guthrie Sharp. She was a secretary for A.C. Wright Trucking Company. She lived for her family.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Scott officiating. Jason Tays will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Tays, whom she married June 3, 1973; one son, Jason Tays of Booneville; one daughter, Kimberly Yates of Booneville; three stepchildren, Chris Tays, Deanna Little and Benjy Tays; her mother; one brother, Keith Sharp of Athens, Ala.; two grandsons, Ethan Yates and Samuel Yates, both of Booneville; nephew and niece, Jeremy and Julie Sharp of Athens, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her father.
