Elizabeth was born in Wolf Creek and died sometime after 1910. She married the minister James White Buchanan about 1856 in Pennsylvania.

Between 1858 and 1868 James and Elizabeth had 7 children that they named: William, Margaret Jane, Newton G., James A, the twins (Joseph Hugh & Hannah E.) and Mary R Buchanan. Their first 4 kids born in PA and the rest were born in Michigan.

Before 1864 their family lived in Butler Co., PA. About 1864 the family relocated to Kent Co., Michigan. The census of 1870 shows them in MI and then in 1880 it shows them living in Wheatland, Will Co., Illinois. The census reports of 1900 and 1910 shows them in Aurora, Kane Co., Illinois.
