William Gordon Forman was the son of Joseph Forman , he was born in Monmouth county Nj and educated at Princeton where he graduated in 1786 with a law degree at 16 years old , He married his first cousin Sarah Marsh Forman the Daughter of General David Forman and moved to Natchez Mississippi and became involved in his families Plantation and also was involved in politics . After the death of his first wife he married a second time to Sarah Woodhull the daughter of Rev,John Woodhull . In 1812 William died in Louisville Ky in while staying at an inn while taking his four year old daughter to live with her grandparents in New Jersey , some written account claim William was killed while being robbed how ever an obituary published in a Kentucky news paper claims William died from apoplexy .
