CASTLEWOOD, Va. Louise Casteel, 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Bristol Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee. She was born in Russell County, Virginia, daughter of the late Jess and Thelma Dishman Hulsey. She was a teacher's aide for Russell County Public Schools for 34 years and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Castlewood, Virginia. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by husband, Dennis Casteel; one daughter, Kim Dotson and husband, Larry of Hansonville, Virginia; one sister, Chris Maples and husband, Ralph; two grandchildren, Josh Horne and wife, Leann and Sarah Beth Johnson and husband, Beren; six great grandchildren, Alexis Horne, Rachel Johnson, Lauren Horne, Samuel Johnson, Ethan Horne and Benjamin Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Louise Casteel will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with the Rev. Leonard Ferguson officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Love Mausoleum - Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Wayne Helbert, Dave Casteel, Beren Johnson, Larry Dotson, Dave Glass and Dan Glass. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. The family wants to give special thanks to Dante Rescue Squad, Bristol Hospice House, the nursing staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center and home health nurse, Whitney Miller.
