Esther was the youngest of Benjamin Whitear's 16 children.

She married John McPhee 9 Sep 1824 at Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon, Hants, NS,Canada.

Eleven of the thirteen children she and John had lived to adulthood. They were William, Mary Ann, Catherine, Benjamin, Martha, Isaac, Sarah, James, John, Joseph, and Robert.

Esther lived out her days on the property in Rawdon that John left her (the deed dated 23 Sep 1859) when he died.

The year of birth was calculated based on the headstone. The census records of 1871, 1881, & 1891 show that she was born around 1805...........
