Funeral services were held from Patterson's chapel Tuesday afternoon for George Clifford Wellington Palmer, who died Saturday while being brought to Big Timber from Lazy Day ranch on the Boulder following a stroke. Rev. J. F Howlett, pastor of the Congregational church, conducted the service. Pallbearers were Harold Boe, A. W. Doyle, Arne Hoem, Howard Peterson, Roy Olinger, and Harry Clouse. Burial was in Mountain View. Deceased was born in Dowagiac, Mich., September 22, 1870. He came to Montana in 1886, settling near Miles City where he remained until 1936 when he came to Big Timber. He had worked around here as a ranch hand ever since. He is survived by a son in the navy. Fred Batholomaus of this city is a stepson.
