MIDVALE - MarJean Buhler Jacobson passed away Saturday, September 21, 2002, at her home in Midvale, Utah, of Leukemia.
She was born Sept 6, 1930, in Midvale, UT, to Jesse J. and Iris Kunz Buhler. She grew up in Midvale and graduated from Jordan High School in 1948.
She married Paul G. Jacobson, June 20, 1949, in the Logan LDS Temple.
She worked for the Salt Lake County Library System more than 30 years. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, a caring grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life's happiest moments were spent in service to others. She was a great example of compassionate service. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions herself, but loved most to support her husband in his many church responsibilities.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth J. Davin; parents; sister, Betty Yuhas; and brother, Melvin Buhler. Survived by her husband, Paul; children, Maureen (Von) Behunin, Paul K. (Colleen) Jacobson, Reid C. Jacobson; son-in-law, Charles F. Davin; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wed. Sept 25, 2002, 11 a.m., Midvale 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 8350 S. Jackson St (260 W, corner of Jackson St. and Princeton Dr), Midvale, UT. Viewing Tues. Sept 24, 2002, 6-8 p.m., Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. and at the church Wed. 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Patricia Legant, her staff, and the nurses at the Cottonwood Hospital IV Center who provided loving care.
