Glendell was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Murphysboro, to Lloyd Moore and Beatrice (Hobbs) Moore.
Glendell graduated from Murphysboro Township High School in 1974. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the 1970s.
Mr. Moore was a Level 5 Lead Operator at Tesa Tape in Carbondale.
He liked to ride his Harley. He liked to fish and hunt and he enjoyed eating deer meat. He liked guns.
Glendell is survived by three children Nina Stout of Murphysboro, U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Erick Moore and his wife, Amber Moore, of Menifee, California, and Kyle Moore of Murphysboro; five grandchildren, Calie Loyd, Rowdy Loyd, Gabriel Cano, Blake Cano, and Macee Cano; one sister, Barbara Gill of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and one brother, Norman Moore of Murphysboro.
He was preceded in death by one son, Scott Moore; one brother, Donald Moore; and his parents.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, in Pettett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Pyatt officiating and burial in Mount Joy Cemetery, where military services will be conducted by the Paul Stout American Legion Post 127. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
