My 3rd Great Grandmother. Our family history shows she was part Indian, which is why she could trade with the Indians in Williamson Co. She traded with them for "Madstones", used for healing purposes, and other goods. The madstone would stick to the wound and draw the poison out, and came from an albino deer. It was very prized back in the old times.

Her first husband, Daniel H Carroll born between 1819 and 1820 in Kentucky was murdered 6 MAY 1851 in Waldron, Scott Co., Arkansas. He was a farmer. In the letter Nancy Boultinghouse Carroll wrote about the murder of her husband Daniel, she says that "Joe Tumlinson killed another man and gave himself up to Featherston and Gaines, and was acquitted. Featherston, who was the first settler in Waldron was also a tavern owner. Apparently there was not a jury trial and his "cronies" gave him a good deal, so there was no justice for Daniel's murder,"

We aren't sure where he is buried in Waldron, Arkansas.
