Hanson E. "Brownie" Brown, 87
Hartford City - Hanson E. Brown "Brownie", 87, passed away at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Overton, TN on November 22, 1929, the son of James Harley Brown and Mary A. (Wilson) Brown. Both parents preceded him in death.
Brownie married Helen Louise (Wise) on August 12, 1978, in Crossville, TN. She precedes him in death on January 14, 2017.
He retired from Kerr Glass in 1978 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Glass Molders Pottery Plastics & Allied Workers AFL,-CIO, CLC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with people.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Beckey (husband, Roger) Brown-Dyer of Texas; step-son, Bill (wife, Betty) Cronkhite of Hartford City; step-daughters, Judy A. Walker of Hartford City; Nancy C. (husband, Jerry) Sisco of Eaton; 5 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 11 brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews..
He is also preceded in death by his son, Larry Brown.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High Street, Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville.
Visitation will be on from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, and 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Keplinger Funeral Home.
