Oldest child of Isaac Isaacson & Christina Wilhelmina Johanson. He was the first of his family to venture to the New World & left Sweden on 20 August 1882.
Ive no information about his early years but Charley, as he was known, must have sent back encouraging news. His sister Anna & brother John immigrated two years later & their father debated bringing the rest of the family to join them. His wife, with three young children at home, was pregnant with another (Robert) when Anna & John left, and so they waited. The birth of Linus, their youngest, in 1885 caused another delay but father Isasc, with Charles brother & sister, Leonard & Hulda, cane over in 1887 to make ready for Charles mother & three youngest siblings to join them, which they did in 1888.
Charles, who never married, lived most of his life in St Charles, IL with his parents. After their deaths he lodged in Campton Township, Kane Co., IL.
