Miss Lora Scott, 19 years old, daughter of T. F. Scott, and popular young lady of Wapella, died at the home of her brother, Harry Scott in Clinton at five o'clock Sunday morning from complication of diseases due to infected tonsils. She had been ill two weeks.
She was born near Wapella June 20, 1904. She is a graduate of the Community High School at Wapella Class of '22 and had just finished her freshmen year at the Wesleyan University. Her mother preceded her in death twelve years ago. Besides her father she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Harry Scott of Clinton; Mrs. Ewald S. Diemer of Pontiac; Mrs. Arthur Fraser, Mrs. Joy Ives, Mrs. Lawrence Leggett, John and Percy Scott, all of Wapella.
Funeral services will be held from the home 3 miles west of Wapella at 2 pm Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made at Rock Creek cemetery. She was a member of Christian Church.
