MRS. C. A. WHATLEY DIED YESTERDAY morning at her home, 129 East Pine street. She was the widow of the late Colonel G. C. Whatley, of the Tenth Alabama regiment during the civil war, and her family was a distinguished one. Mrs. Whatley had been in ill health for quite a while and her death was not unexpected. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eula Griffin, and a son, George C. Whatley, of Birmingham, Ala. This morning at 7:55 o'clock the body will be taken to Myrtle Hill cemetery, Rome, Ga., for funeral and interment. The following will be the pallbearers and will meet at the residence, 129 East Pine street, at 7 o'clock: John T. Pendleton, T. S. Bowen, W. H. Vannison, John R. Dickey and Thomas Day.
