Andrew Jackson Stanwood was born at Calhoun, Harrison county, Iowa, July 27, 1861 and died in the hospital at Superior, Nebraska, October 2, 1921, at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 5 days.

He is survived by his wife, three sisters and two brothers, three daughters, Mrs. Thurman Anstine, Mrs. O. Wall and Miss Elsie Stanwood; one son, Clark Stanwood, and five grandchildren.

Mr. Stanwood came to Seward, Nebraska in 1867, and was married to Margaret Liebert April 13, 1888. To this union were born six children, one of whom, Ellen Elizabeth, died in infancy, and another, Katie Gertrude, at the age of ten years.

After living at several other places in Nebraska, he returned to Seward in 1901 and resided here until 1916 when he moved to Cadams, near Superior, Nebraska, where he resided until his death.

He was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge at Superior.
