Aged County Resident Dies At Stewards Mill

Mrs. Bettie Weaver, aged 73 years, died at her home in Stewards Mill, Thursday morning, March 6. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery, Friday afternoon following religious service at the Stewards Mill Church, conducted by Rev. W. R. Hall, Jr. Pallbearers were Lloyd and Buford Weaver, Jack Robinson, Minton Burchfield, Vernon Camp and Dwayne Rash.

Mrs. Weaver was married to John M. Weaver, who survives her, December 24, 1888. To this union nine children were born, seven of whom are living: Jesse P Weaver, Mrs. C. B. Robinson and Mrs. W. K. Bonner of Stewards Mill, Lesley Weaver, Navarro, Douglas Weaver, Overton, Travis Weaver, Houston, and Doyle Weaver, Oklahoma City, all of who were present at the funeral. She is also survived by one brother, Willie Bennett of Gladewater and three sisters, Mrs. Savannah Mosteller, Streetman and Mrs. Roxie Estis, H. C. Estis, Mr and Mrs Reuben Tucker, Mrs. Bennie Rash and Dwayne Rash, Corsicana, and by 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Those out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Camp and Mrs. Don Webb, Galveston, Mrs. Addie Mae Weaver and Jere, Texas City, Mrs. Mira Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Minton Burchfield, and Mrs. Jones, Houston, Lloyd and John I Weaver, Dallas, Buford Weaver, Mrs. Roxie Estis, H. C. Estis, Mr. and Mrs Reuben Tucker, Mrs. Bennie Rash and Dwayne Rash, Corsiciana.
