Services were held at four o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Deepstep Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Miss Inez Holmes and Miss Lora Holmes both of Deepstep; three sons, Bernard Holmes and Raymond Holmes, both of Milledgeville, and Weeton Holmes of Macon; one brother, Forrest Veal of Deepstep; five sisters, Mrs. Robbie Hood, Mrs. Wilmer Giles, Mrs. Lila B. Ward and Mrs. Sammie Brooks, all of Deepstep, and Mrs. Mattie Mae Garbutt of Macon.
