Born Nov. 18, 1896, in Cicero, the World War I veteran had been employed as manager of the Elwood Elks from 1941 to 1959, when he retired. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles Lodge, American Legion and Veterans of World War...
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Rose Mary) Collins of Daleville and Mrs. Martha Cope of Clearwater, FL; and two brothers, Jake and Ralph Scott, both of Elwood; and a step-brother, Charles Stage of Elwood.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunnichay Funeral Home. Rev. Edsell Joyner of the Orestes Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Lebanon. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. Elks Lodge will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
