OLA "CONNIE" ADOLA (CANAMORE) HELLER
July 29, 1924 ~ November 2, 2017

Beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Ola A. "Connie" Heller, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, November 2nd, 2017. Born in Vancouver, Washington to Beulah and Olen Canamore, the family later moved to Arkansas.

At the age of 18, Connie entered the Navy during World War II and was stationed at Alameda Airbase in San Francisco, California. Returning to Vancouver, Washington, Connie met Frank Heller on their church steps prior to leaving for a church picnic. They eventually married and raised three boys together.

Connie later achieved her AA degree at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. She supported her family's love of skiing, hunting, hiking and the Boy Scouts while all three sons and two grandsons achieved Eagle Scout. She summited Mt. Hood in Oregon in 1966, and often recalled fond memories of time spent on the mountain.

Connie is survived by her sister, Estelle Brown of Vancouver, Washington; step-sister, Patsy Sue Turner of Florence, Oregon; sons, Gary Heller (Cicely) of Vancouver, Washington and Lary Heller (Martiel) of Vancouver, Washington; granddaughter, Charlotte Heller and fiancé Ivan Taula; grandsons, Christopher More, Preston Whited (Nicole), Ridge Heller; great-granddaughter, Madison More; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank; son, Daryl; sister, Alveriah Dreiszus; brother, Olen Canamore Jr.; sister-in-law, Margaret Heller; and brother-in-law, Ralph Heller.

The family appreciates the loving care and attention provided by Assurety Senior Care in Vancouver, Washington, where Connie resided during the last 6 months, and wish to express thanks to the Kaiser Hospice staff who visited Connie often during the last months.

A private service was held for the family.
