Ms. Emily Barker Strickland, age 79, of Hiram, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at her residence.
Ms. Strickland was born on December 6, 1937 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to Mr. Isadore Strauss Barker and Mrs. Warna Perdue Barker. Prior to her passing, Ms. Strickland worked in Blue Print Control at Lockheed in Marietta.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isadore (Warna Perdue) Barker; brothers, Alvis and Dan Barker.
She is survived by daughter, Janet Strickland; daughter, Julie Strickland; brothers, Jack Barker; extended family and friends.
Graveside services for Ms. Strickland will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017, 4:00 P.M. at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Benson Funeral Home of Dallas, Georgia. Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Ga. will handle the graveside services.
