Rosemary Fadal, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday at St. Catherine's Hospice, surrounded by family who adored her. Visitation will be at 11 to 1 p.m., Friday, at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 1624 Wooded Acres Dr., Waco, followed by a memorial service. A reception follows in the Parrish Hall. Private family interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Rosemary was born in Waco, to John Ferris and Martha Koury Abbott. She attended Waco High. She was married to Mitchell W. Fadal, Sr.

Rosemary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, mother-in-law, and precious friend to all who were blessed to have known and loved her. She attended Business College in Charleston, West Virginia, and worked in the offices of her sons.

She was active for many years with the women of the Waco Lebanese Syrian Association. She loved her home and her family. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed all things related to making her home lovely, warm, and welcoming to all who entered. She enjoyed cooking traditional Lebanese meals and gardening. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. She was loved for her beautiful smile, her kind heart, and generous loving spirit. She was the best mamma any one could hope for.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband; and her sisters, Adele Abbott Khoury and Victoria Abbott Montanio.

She is survived by her sister, Eileen Abbott Peace and husband, Billy; children, Mitchell W. Fadal Jr. and wife, Dianne, John Edward Fadal and wife, Donna, and Larry Fadal; daughter, Susan Fadal Rossi and husband, David; grandchildren, Scott, Brian, Jennifer, Andrew, Allison; an abundance of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins too numerous to mention.

The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to Charlie Hale-Morgan and Judy Mirza who lovingly cared for Rosemary in her home for the last few years and to Dr. James Hodges and Nurse Katrina for 20 years of service. Home is where she wanted to be. We are forever grateful that she was able to be there. Our thanks go to the loving staff at St. Catherine's Hospice for their tender care in her last few days.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude, or Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
