Dorothy Schaffer, 80, of Main Street, Edwardsville, died Friday at her home.
She was born in Larksville on Feb. 6, 1933, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Zupko) Ulichney.
Dorothy was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Larksville. She was active in many church functions, including working at the annual bazaar and serving as one of the church's many pierogie makers. She also enjoyed volunteering for the E.P.U. Senior Citizens Center.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Schaffer, and her brothers, John, Stephen and Frank Ulichney.
She is survived by her niece, Theresa Hufford, and her husband, Albert; great-niece, Carlin; and many friends.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale. Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m.
