Leona Miller, a native and resident of Denham Springs, passed away at home on Thursday, November 02, 2017 at the age of 93. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being with her dog Rosco, who was very protective of Leona. A Godly woman, she loved the Lord with all her might and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was born 1 of 9 children, and was the last to pass. Leona is survived by her children, Jeanette Miller Carrier, Katherine Howze, and Jerry Miller; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Atwood Roy Miller; children, Atwood Leroy Miller; her parents, George and Bernice Blount; and her eight siblings. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. until Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Evergreen Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Heidi Meir, Kristie King, and special thanks to Anthony Santangelo for caring for his grandmother in her last days.
