She was born on July 3, 1921 in Ft. Madison, IA to Grover and Marie Eldred Hughes. On April 6, 1939 she married John Herman Thoman and he passed away in 1991. Kathaleen was a cafeteria supervisor at the Ft. Madison High School. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and she loved to cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Patricia Decklever; a brother Wayne; and three sisters Dorothy Davolt, Barbara Richardson and Marjorie Daughtery.
