William Albright Passed in California Sept. 17th
William H. (Bill) Albright, 78, of Fort Benton, died in a hospital in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Wednesday, Sept. 17, while visiting his daughter there.
He was born in Great Falls on Jan. 26, 1897. His early childhood was spent near Monarch where his father owned a limestone quarry which supplied the smelter in Great Falls. He attended schools at Great Falls, at Eastern Montana and in Illinois. He engaged in ranching, mining and real estate in several areas in Montana. He was a member of F. O. Eagles in Helena.
He married Rose Wolf of Fort Benton on June 11, 1937. Over thirty years of their married life were spent in Helena; several years in Fresno, Calif., and now had established residency in Fort Benton.
Survivors include the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Dana Mercer of Whitesboro, Texas, and Mrs. Carol Ghio of Walnut Creek, Calif; brother, Henry Albright of Bishop Calif; sisters, Mrs. Alice Terlson of Fishtail, Mont., and Mrs. Lillian Paul of Helena; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Davenport, Calif. White's Mortuary, Inc., of Santa Cruz was in charge of cremation and arrangements.
