Bio

I was born in 1955 and raised in Carlinville, Macoupin County, Illinois. I married in 1974 David W Bradshaw of Wilmette, Cook County, Illinois where we raised 5 children...Zachariah, Elisabeth, Jeffrey, Benjamin, and Thomas.

My family and it's history have always been my greatest interest.. I am the keeper of its treasures, the old photographs and documents. In 2006 I began my genealogy hunt of my father's side. It began with one photograph marked "Bardstown Kentucky". I have gathered hundreds of copies of original documents from courthouses across the country to support my work. If I hit a brick wall so be it. I do not make connections that cannot be proved.

In 2007 my husband was terminally diagnosed and my work was put on hold. With all the personal life changes of widowhood it's taken me 10 years to get back in the game. I am now working up my mother's side and enjoying the thrill of all those original documents once again.

The memorials I post and the edits I request are all family and personal. I only wish to set the record straight and right for future generations to know and appreciate where they come from... all of these brave, hardworking, and adventurous people who were more than just a name and date on a tombstone. My family tree is on Ancestry and is public as Marsha Lynne Liston.
