Funeral for Corientha Ann Moore, 60, who died Wednesday (March 14, 2007) will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Greater St. James A.M.E. Church in Blackshear with the Rev. Bernard Benson, pastor, and Pastor Tommie Miller Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
She was born in Blackshear on Nov. 1, 1947, to Eddie C. and Nedred D. Williams. She attended Bailey Street Elementary School and was a graduate of Lee Street School, class of 1966. She furthered her education at Okefenokee Technical College and was employed with the Georgia Department of Human Resources. She was a member of Gates of Joy Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Tommie Miller Sr. Her passion was winning souls for Christ.
She is survived by three sons, Keith (Stella) Moore, Famon S. Moore and Carlton E. (Colette) Moore, of Atlanta; her parents, Eddie C. and Nedred D. Williams, of Blackshear; a sister, Alveta (Johnnie) D. Williams, of Wadley; eight grandchildren, Kiara, Rashad, Devonte', Jasmine, Brian, Trevon, DeeAndra and Bryce; special friend, James Davie, of Blackshear; a special daughter, Nyjema Carter; several friends and relatives. The cortege will gather at the family home, 3176 Allen Ave., Blackshear, where the family is receiving friends.
