Effie Lucille Davis Holland, 89, of Statesville, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Wilkes County on May 5, 1928 to the late Schuyler Colfax Davis and Della Mae Souther Davis.

Lucille attended Wilkes County Schools and was married to Carrol Holland, who preceded her death. She had worked as an inspector for Carolina Furniture and was a member of Front Street Baptist Church. Lucille was a devout Christian woman who loved her Lord, her family, and her friends. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Tony Foti (Franky Vandemarimba) and Charles Foti (Betty); a sister, Margaret Souther; and two brothers, Gurney and Isaac Davis.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Front Street Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Stutts officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
