Son of Arthur B. Chalk and Emily Harmon.

Married Meta Bell Wood on November 18, 1907. To this union three children were born (one died in infancy). Meta died in 1914.

Married Pearl Hull on May 15, 1916. To this union one daughter was born.

In addition to his first wife, Mr. Chalk was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Mr. Chalk was an employee of Missouri Pacific Railroad for 50 years. He served as agent at Allenville, MO for two years; then at Delassus, MO for 31 years; finishing his career at DeSoto, MO and retiring at age 65.
