At age 4, Lenore and her family moved to the two story yellow house on the corner of Strong Street and 5th where she lived for 90 years. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She attended Zion Lutheran School from 1st through 8th grade. After graduating from Brighton High School, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from CU with an emphasis in Spanish. She soon went to work at Great Western Sugar as a translator and interpreter for the beet fields workers. She eventually became secretary to the president of Great Western Sugar in downtown Denver and completed her career as vice president of Great Western. In retirement, she traveled with friends, welcomed neighbors, delivered Meals on Wheels and always showed love for her family. Survivors included brother Ernst (Bud) (Jeanne) Westermann of Loveland and "niblings" James (Sue), Paul, and Timothy Bettger, Pam (Dennis) Keith, Christine (Preston) Gilson, Eric Westermann, Andrea (Lonnie) Sheldon, and Fred (Verlene) and William Waiss. Memorial service held November 25th at Tabor Funeral Home.
