Lenore Walker Carroll, age 83, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care-Kirkwood. She was born March 2, 1934 in Caldwell County to the late Gaither Lee and Pearl Icenhour Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Carroll was retired from Singer Furniture Industries and was a member of Lenoir Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie Bill Carroll of the home; two sons, Michael Ernie Carroll and wife Barbara of Huntersville and Gregory Steven Carroll and wife Connie of Hildebran; one daughter, Pamela Carroll Norris and husband Dennis of Lenoir; one brother, Steven Icenhour Walker and wife Adele of Arizona; one sister, Coleen Walker Younce of Hudson; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Lenoir Community Church conducted by Rev. Daniel McGee. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
