Jeanette Arrington Walker, 83, of 126 N. Lynnbank Road, Henderson, NC died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Maria Parham Health.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Coleman and Mildred Capps Arrington.
Mrs. Walker was a retired employee of Laurens Glass Inc. She was a graduate and star basketball player of John Graham High School. She was a lifelong and active member of Raleigh Road Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Gardens, conducted by Rev. George Williams and Rev. Nathan Brown.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-three years, Ernest Walker Jr.; a daughter, Diane W. Reavis (Hoyle); a son, Ernest Lee Walker (Scarlette) both of Henderson; two sisters, Barbara Ayscue (Scott) of Epsom, and Ethel Hedgepeth of Kittrell; a brother, Marion Arrington (Paulette) of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Ernie Walker, Josh Walker, Hannah Walker, Savannah Walker, Cliff Reavis (Samantha), Blair Reavis, and Natalie Reavis; and a great grandson, Cameron Jones.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Mae Poythress and Mary Dickerson; and three brothers, Patrick Arrington, Pete Arrington, and Samuel Arrington.
The family will receive friends at her home, 126 N. Lynnbank Road, Henderson.
