Mabel Page Anderson Nagel, age 91, of New Smyrna Beach, died Friday, October 28, 2016.

Born in Pleasant View Community, South Carolina, Mrs. Nagel came to this area in 1994 from Conway, South Carolina. She was a member of the Coronado Community Methodist Church and the Smyrna Yacht Club, where she played bridge often. An avid reader, Mabel worked as a legal secretary and office manager for the South Carolina Solicitor General, for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a true southern belle.

Survivors include her two sons, Dr. William C. Andersen, Jr. of Brevard, NC and Michael (Carla) Andersen of New Smyrna Beach; two step-daughters, Denise (Tommy) Gladfelter of Hiawassee, GA and Linda (Gary) Congleton of Flowery Branch, Georgia; five grandchildren, Page (Robert) Bethke, Ryan Anderson, Lindsey (Yale) Silverman, Drew (Hannah) Gladfelter, and Jess (Denise Dillard; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jean Brown. She is preceded in death by her husbands, William C. Andersen, Sr. And Jack L. Nagel; siblings, Kavenel Page, Margaret Thompson, and Col. James Page.
