UCON, ID -- Eva Cheney Tyler, 87, of Ucon, died August 28, 2006, at her son's home.

She was born August 6, 1919, at Kimberly, Idaho, to Selar Edward Cheney and Florence Harriet Allen. The family later moved to Archer where she graduated from Madison High School.

On November 8, 1939, she married Frank Monroe Tyler in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1999. She was a mother and homemaker.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She served with her husband as a temple ordinance worker as well as on full-time missions to New York and California.

Among her many interests were flower making, writing, photo tinting, painting, drawing, piano, music, crossword puzzles and playing games. She was also an avid genealogist and loved being with her family.

Survivors include:
Son: Monroe C. (Sherilyn) Tyler, Tucson, AZ
Son: Aldon G. (Rebecca) Tyler, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: A. Val (LaWana) Tyler, Evanston, WY
Daughter: Linda Dawn (Lynn) Hellewell, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Marion Cheney
Sister: Thelma Briscoe
35 Grandchildren & 77 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and three sons, Bruce Tyler, John M. Tyler and Frank D. Tyler.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006, at the Ucon LDS Chapel, 10854 North 41 East, with Bishop Dan Keck of the Ucon LDS Homestead Ward officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
