DIANE "LEA" CANNIS, 52, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died February 23, 2014 at her home.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, Lea was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 16 years, moving from West Palm Beach, FL.
Lea earned her Master's degree in Social Service from Barry University.
She worked as a Social Worker on the Treasure Coast for the past 12 years.
Ms. Cannis was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL.
Lea was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Cannis.
Survivors include her father, Dr. John P. Cannis, Sr., of Port St. Lucie, FL; three sisters, Bonnie Jenks of South Carolina, Susan Cannis of New Jersey, Lynne Glasgow of New Jersey; and two brothers, Robert Cannis and John Cannis, Jr., both of New Jersey.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM and 7:00PM-9:00PM, with a 3:00PM Prayer Vigil recited at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL.
A Mass will be Friday, February 28, 2014, 10:00AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL.
Arrangements are entrusted to Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL.
