Arlene Boswell Clark was born on January 24th, 1932 in Mt. Emmons Utah. She was the 5th child of Volney and Esther Chase Boswell who had 8 children, 6 girls and two boys. Arlene grew up on a farm which instilled in her the value of hard work and a clean home, attributes she practiced all her life.

She met her sweetheart while in high school and they married in 1950. Arlene was a talented seamstress and worked for Logan Knitting Mills and Alco Bag Co. until she and Max reached retirement. In their golden years, the couple liked to travel, spending winters in Arizona and St. George. She enjoyed reading, quilting and crochet, making many beautiful afghans. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. When surrounded by friends and family, Arlene loved to laugh and always looked her best.

In 2008 Arlene suffered a debilitating stroke. She was very patient and helped others learn how to help her, giving others the opportunity for service. She was quick to smile and express her love for those around her.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 13th at the Mt. Logan Stake Center (565 East 100 South) at 10:00 AM with funeral services to follow at noon.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Max, and two siblings (Alta Cook, Fern Snow). She is survived by her brothers Leslie and Elvin, sisters Bernice Swasey, Ann (Robert) Clark, Faye Milburn, daughter Julie (Brent) Hansen, son Raymond (Linda), 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
