Behnke was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Burton and Aldine (Kruse) Krumviede. She was married to Dallas R. Behnke.
Behnke worked as the Director of Management Materials Health Care at Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Cumberland for 15 years. She lived in the Chetek-Cameron area for 16 years, and recently moved to Somerset to be with her daughter during her sickness.
She is survived by her first husband Dallas Behnke of Coleman; one daughter, Michelle "Shelly" (Chris) Peterson of Somerset; one brother, Darrell "Bob" (Sandy) Krumviede of Ypsilanti, N.D.; two sisters, Carol (Richard) Jacobs of Dieterich, Ill., and Sherril "Sherry" (Bruce) Stephens of McCall, Idaho; three grandchildren, Brett, Sydney and Allyson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; second husband, Donald Hall; one daughter, LeAnn Nelezen; two brothers, Larry Krumviede and Richard Krumviede; one sister, Darline Yoost; and two grandsons, Cameron and Taylor Nelezen.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, at Chetek Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ralph Marquardt and Pastor Guy Redfield officiating. Burial was conducted at Prairie View Cemetery in the Village of Lake Hallie.
