June 9, 1915—Nov. 10, 2006
Aldine Anna Krumviede, 91, of Chetek and formerly of the Minong area died Nov. 10 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Funeral services were Tuesday morning at Chetek Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Guy Redfield and Ralph Marquardt officiating and burial at Prairie View Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
Mrs. Krumviede was born June 9, 1915 in Preston, Iowa, to Herman and Minnie (Frahm) Kruse. She married Burton Krumviede on June 19, 1934 in Green Island, Iowa. The couple owned and operated several family businesses, including a motel/restaurant/resort, so she cooked and cleaned and did anything else that needed to be done. She moved from Chippewa Falls to Minong in 1970 and to Chetek in about 1991. Mrs. Krumviede enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cooking for anyone who stopped by. She made everything from scratch just as she did at her restaurant. Mrs. Krumviede also enjoyed flowers and made most of her family's wedding cakes and special occasion cakes.
She is survived by a son, Darrell "Bob" of Ypsilanti, N.D.; three daughters, Joyce Behnke of Cameron, Carol Jacobs of Dieterich, Ill., and Sherry Stephens of McCall, Idaho; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Thekla Nielsen of Chetek and Lorena Linder of Portland, Ore. [Obituary published 11/15/06 in the Rice Lake Chronotype, Rice Lake, WI.]
