Norma Shirley Golisch Schmidt, 80, Wausau, passed away September 9, 2015 at Evergreen House of Wausau. She was born the eldest child of Milford and Mildred Golisch on February 13, 1935.
Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Mosinee High School. She attended St. Mary's Nursing School, Wausau. Was an adult foster for over 20 years and in 1982 she acquired her real estate broker's licenses.
Among her favorite past times were gardening, she was an avid reader and in later years she enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. But most important she loved spending time with her family and her love of animals.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley (Jeff) Kummerow, her son Eugene Kirk Schmidt and grandson Travis Kummerow and also her two sisters Sandie Sann and Bev (Pete) Hanson, one sister-in-law Barb Golisch and her children along with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Milford and Mildred Golisch and her only brother Kermit and one brother-in-law Marlinc (Butch) Sann.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
She's in the sun, the wind, the rain; she's in the air you breathe with every breath you take. She sings a song of hope and cheer, there's no more pain, no more fear. You'll see her in the clouds above, hear her whisper words of love, you'll be together before long, until then listen for her song. Quote of: Chrisly Ann Martine
